Brides with Passports is THE wedding blog for the stylish bride who wants a world traveler’s insight into planning the perfectly unique destination wedding.  Brides with Passports is the brainchild of couture wedding planner, Sonya Ferreira.  Sonya (a.k.a. “Miss Passport”) is the owner and president of Sonya Lee Weddings & Events, a couture event design and coordination company specializing in stylishly stunning destination weddings around the world.  Sonya has been designing and planning corporate events and weddings in the Boston area as well as international destinations since 2000. Her love of travel began after her first international trip to Argentina at the age of 8. Her travels have also taken her to Austria, Bavaria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Scotland, Spain and the list continues to grow. In the 90’s, Sonya worked for an international travel and golf tour company where she designed and organized high-end travel itineraries for CEO’s, entrepreneurs, and celebrities. Sonya is a hopeless romantic with a passion for art, travel, music, fashion, fine dining, and event design. These, along with her strengths in organization and event management, naturally led her to the wedding planning industry. Sonya lives in a suburb of Boston with the love of her life, Steve, and their adorable American Staffordshire Terrier, Lexy.
